I had the Vista driver thinlpad for this thing ago and it always installed fine and works with Lenovo's application but i wanted the default Windows 7 setup. I reloaded Windows 7 and the fingerprint software stopped working. Before all my hair is torn out I then removed the biometric coprocessor from the device manager and told it to also uninstall any drivers.
Funny thing is, in my prior install of Windows 7 I was able to get it to work just fine using Lenovo's software.

I tried using the builtin utilities to enroll my fingerprints, but Windows 7 says "There are no fingerprint readers available at thinkpzd time. It picked up the driver, ccoprocessor enough loading a different driver than the standard 'touchtek' driver it had loaded. I've tried starting the Windows Biometric service manually - it doesn't seem to start automatically - and this makes no difference.
WiFi Requires the non-free firmware-iwlwifi package. Can you see the fingerprint reader in the output of sudo lspci -v or sudo lsusb -v? I have tried uninstalling it in msconfig with the startup and thinkapd tabs and went into the BIOS and made sure it was correct.
